On Friday, June the 3rd members of the Worthwhile team visited A Child’s Haven, a non-profit based in Greenville, SC. As our first Web for Good client, they will receive a new website for their organization, backed by our normal rigorous process, but at no charge.
When we arrived, the leaders of A Child’s Haven greeted us warmly and gave us a tour of the facility. We got a first-hand look at the hard work and care they put into creating classrooms that foster the development of children. It was easy to see that our work will be for a more-than-worthy cause.
We then met several team members from the organization to discuss ideas for their website. We began with the basics, learning about the organization and its mission, goals and values, and then began exploring what kind of needs we could meet for their audiences.
Our hope is that we can create a website that accurately reflects the organization, so we appreciated their willingness to share their specific desires for the project. Besides content, we also discussed the structure, organization, and design of the new website.
The team then returned to the Worthwhile home office to do some more thinking of our own. Creative ideas continued to flow as we began piecing together basic wireframes and direction for the future website. Progress is being made and the project is officially underway!
